This is not a required consumble for the UNO Machine! This Pad was designed to work in conjunction with the 10 second drying cycle.

The Drying Cycle is an adjustable feature designed to meet your style of useage, from casual repairs to high volume back to back cycles. The drying cycle was made adjustable to help you achieve the deepest scratch removal, and yet finish the disc with little to no wiping.

If you do not use this pad, you may be able to reduce your dry time, increase your depth of scratch removal, all with little to no wiping of the discs.
